Configuring QR Codes
QR Codes are configured per credential/pass type. While setting up your passes, toggle on “Auto-generate QR code on Approval.” This will enable QR code generation for that pass type.
Note: While QR codes are generated automatically when a line item is approved, they are not sent out automatically.
Sharing QR Codes
QR codes can be sent in bulk either by Email or SMS to the person associated with the order. They can also be printed to share physical QR codes onsite.
Configuring Email QR Code Templates
When configuring email templates, you can utilize the below QR Code Merge Tags to share QR codes:
{{{credential_qr_image}}}
{{{credential_qr_text}}}
{{{credential_variant_name}}}
Default QR Code Email Template
You can create various email templates for QR codes. However, you can toggle on one email template in your event to be the default template that is used when sending Mobile App.
Note* SMS QR Code verbiage can not be customized and will include the Event Name and the QR Code.
Sending QR Codes
QR codes can be sent in bulk either my email template or SMS within the platform. Emails will be sent to the email on file associated with the order, and SMS will be sent to the phone number on file with the associated order. For group orders, the individual responsible for the order will receive unique emails or SMS for each QR code.
Note* To send QR codes via SMS you must collect the phone numbers of the individual(s) receiving the QR codes using the Mobile Phone field.
Sending QR Codes from the Schedule Module
If utilizing Vehicle Access Passes for the Truck Stop Form you can also send QR codes within the Schedule Module.
Printing QR Codes
You can download and print QR codes for each line item, if you’d like to share physical QR codes.
Managing QR Codes
Blocking QR Codes
Each QR code can be blocked by an Admin. This will disable the QR codes ability to be scanned in using the mobile app. The mobile app will let the user know the QR code has been disabled. You can re-activate a QR code at any time.
Viewing Scan In and Scan Out Data
When a QR code is scanned in or out within the Mobile App, Admins can view this data within the QR Code tab in the Credentials Module.
Ensure the following fields are toggled on in the Dashboard View. Hovering over these fields will also display historical data for previous scans:
Last Scan In
Last Scan Out
Scanned By
You can also configure a Dashboard Summary for credentials/passes that utilize QR codes to get a high-level overview of how many QR codes are currently scanned in.
